FreeWheel Launches Video Content Report for Greater CTV Transparency

FreeWheel has introduced Video Content Report, a new insights tool available exclusively within FreeWheel Buyer Cloud (formerly Beeswax), designed to provide advertisers with greater transparency into where their connected TV (CTV) campaigns appear. The solution addresses one of the industry's key challenges by offering series-level visibility across premium publisher inventory, enabling advertisers to better evaluate campaign delivery and content alignment.

By leveraging publisher-sourced impression data through FreeWheel Streaming Hub, the report gives buyers a clearer understanding of campaign placements while supporting more informed media investment decisions across premium streaming environments.

Video Content Report Delivers Series-Level Campaign Visibility

The Video Content Report is powered by the direct integration between Buyer Cloud and FreeWheel Streaming Hub, FreeWheel's ad server with a natively built supply-side platform (SSP). The solution provides detailed, post-impression reporting at the series level across participating premium publishers, including A+E Global Media, Spectrum Reach, Fuse Media, NBCUniversal, Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Xumo.

Using publisher-sourced delivery data recorded directly through the ad server, the report enables advertisers to verify where campaigns were delivered while increasing confidence in premium CTV investments.

Enhanced Transparency Supports Brand Safety and Campaign Planning

Through impression-level delivery data, Video Content Report enables scalable series-level transparency that helps advertisers confirm content alignment and support brand safety initiatives without additional costs.

The solution also allows publishers to demonstrate the value of their premium programming by providing trusted delivery insights directly within advertisers' media buying workflow.

According to new research from Advertiser Perceptions, more than 50% of connected TV advertisers would shift advertising spend toward publishers offering show- or series-level transparency. By integrating publisher-sourced reporting into a unified workflow, FreeWheel aims to simplify access to these insights and support more effective campaign planning and investment decisions.

“CTV buyers need series-level transparency they can trust and use at scale,” said Jon Mansell, Vice President, U.S. Demand for FreeWheel. “What makes Video Content Report unique is the direct connection between Buyer Cloud and Streaming Hub, which enables publisher-permissioned, impression-level delivery insights from multiple premium publishers in one workflow. That gives advertisers a clearer view of where their campaigns ran while giving publishers control over how their content data is shared.”

Simplified Reporting Within Buyer Cloud

Video Content Report streamlines series-level reporting by giving buyers direct access to publisher-sourced campaign insights within Buyer Cloud. This reduces reliance on manual reporting requests or publisher-specific workflows while offering a consistent view of campaign delivery across participating premium publishers.

Built on publisher-controlled series metadata sourced directly from FreeWheel ad server records and matched with post-impression campaign delivery data, the report provides advertisers with reliable transparency while remaining fully integrated into the Buyer Cloud platform.

Supporting Smarter Programmatic CTV Advertising

As programmatic connected TV advertising continues to grow, FreeWheel is expanding Buyer Cloud's capabilities to provide advertisers with greater transparency, control, and customization.

The platform combines direct publisher connections, premium video inventory, decisioning tools, and exclusive reporting capabilities to help agencies and advertisers make more informed, efficient, and accountable media buying decisions.

“As investment in programmatic CTV continues to grow, we as buyers need transparency that is accurate, scalable and easy to access,” said Mike Treon, Head of CTV and Video Strategy for PMG. “FreeWheel’s Video Content Report addresses a real gap in the market by giving us series-level visibility directly within Buyer Cloud, helping us better understand campaign delivery across premium video without relying on one-off reporting requests or adding unnecessary reporting steps.”

Video Content Report is now available to all Buyer Cloud clients at no additional cost, providing advertisers with accessible series-level reporting as part of their existing media buying workflow.
